These Pewter name plates are also suitable for use in apartments, flats, internal doors behind storm doors, sheltered locations and exterior positions,

The decorative motifs are Lucky Horse shoes.

The hand worked lettering is also in the famous Mackintosh/ Glasgow style

They are all hand created using the age old techniques of Repoussé and chasing on soft pewter sheet.

The process of hand lettering and hand Repoussé and chasing gives each name plate a unique appearance.

Unlike all the other Mackintosh name plates on the market today which are plastic laminate, these are pure British Standard sheet Pewter.

These name plates are hand made in my Studio in Glasgow City Centre.

Please note that these are hand worked pieces, will have slight variations and little imperfections that add to the unique quality of polished pewter.
Many pewter pieces these days are either, pressed in machines or cast from moulds giving them a mechanical appearance

They can be attached by screws to the door, 4 screws will be included

Glasgow Rose Pewter name plate

On sale is a CR Mackintosh / Glasgow Style Pewter, Door Name Plate.

Size is 6 inches long by 1.75 inches high.


The decorative motifs are the famous Mackintosh / Glasgow Rose.

The hand worked lettering is also in the famous Mackintosh/ Glasgow style

They are all hand created using the age old techniques of Repoussé and chasing on soft pewter sheet.

The process of hand lettering and hand  Repoussé and chasing gives each name plate a unique appearance.

Taylor Rose Glasgow Style

On sale is a Taylor Rose / Glasgow Style Pewter, Door Finger / Push Plate.

Size is 11.5 inches long by 3 inches wide.

These finger plates are bespoke and hand made to order, and as such are not stock items, although there may occassionally be a few in the studio...contact me for orders needed in a hurry, because its a very difficult design to get right and it does take a bit longer to make.

The decorative motif is a pewter rendition of the a Brass door lock design for Lord Weir`s house on Great Western Terrace, Glasgow designed by George Taylor, a contemporary of  Charles Rennie Mackintosh

They are all hand created using the age old techniques of Repoussé and chasing on soft British Standard Fine Pewter sheet.

They  are supported, for structural strength, by a modern light weight material, that meets all UK National and International Standards.

The process of hand  Repoussé and chasing gives each  plate a unique appearance.

Hand repoussed and chased pewter finger plate after a design by George Logan an importandt Glasgow Style designer.
